Oppo makes a big impression at IGIA with expansive F1s Selfie Expert campaign

The smartphone brand took over the most vantage, premium sites at T3 & T1 to showcase its compelling camera phone to a large high-flying target audience

Smartphone brand Oppo took over the most vantage points in the bustling Terminal 3 (T3) and Terminal 1 (T1) of Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) to draw the attention of high flyers to its ‘F1s Selfie Expert’ camera phone that is endorsed by Bollywood icon Hrithik Roshan. TIMDAA informs that the smartphone brand sought to establish a domineering visual presence across the airport, using a significant number of digital and static sites that included backlit units under FIDS, the videowall in the check-in hall, backlit scroller alongside the conveyor belt, head-on site above the arrival gate, media in the car parking area, gantry on the exit road, impactful sites in the Canyon area, among others.

TIMDAA explained to Media4Growth that “the client was given a detailed presentation on the different media options placed across the terminal – digital and static. Earlier the client was conservative but after a detailed review of the data made available with regard to passenger profiles and traffic, they showed interest in certain large premium media options. We made a list of sites which they were interested in – they were also the most strategic and sought after media mix. Since these sites were the most premium ones the team had to wait until they were available to book them for the long term”.

Rohit Chopra, CEO, TIMDAA, added, “The Oppo campaign was executed with speed and accuracy as the smartphone category is a highly competitive segment at the airport and brands are realising the value of being at the right place at the right time.”
