Neerus to expand beyond south India, to open stores in Delhi, Chattisgarh and Maharashtra

Known for having the biggest flagship stores in the women’s ethnic wear category, Neeru's plans to go beyond its presence in Andhra Pradesh, Telengana and Karnataka by expanding in places like Delhi and Raipur. However the expansion plan is also valid for the region where the brand has carved a niche by opening one store in Coimbatore this month. Delhi will welcome the city’s first Neeru's store at ethnic wear haven Karol Bagh by early next month and the store will span over 3200 sq ft.

Avnish Sharma, Director, Neeru's, told Retail4growth, “We are the first ethnic wear brand in India in true sense that has taken the retail experience to a different level. I am talking about our 40,000 sq ft store in Hyderabad which looks no less than a five star hotel’s banquet. Going beyond our customer expectations, we have accommodated elements like 15 ft LED walls, handloom machines, fountain, history walls etc within the store. Of course, we can’t deliver such grand retail experience everywhere but we are certainly looking at more cities accessing our offerings. We are opening one store each in Coimbatore and Raipur this month while Delhi will receive its first Neeru's store early next month. Going forward, we are also planning open more stores at Delhi’s other famous ethnic wear markets like South Extension, Lajpat Nagar, Rajouri Garden etc. Part of our expansion plan, we are also looking at opening stores in cities like Pune and Nagpur in Maharashtra.” Neerus today is present through 28 EBOs including its 2 flagship stores in Hyderabad and 20 MBOs across the country.
