P.K. Advertising Services acquires 148 BQS in Kolkata

The bus shelters are all located on major roads, at key intersections, covering most parts of the city. The BQS media would be both backlit and frontlit, ensuring high visibility for advertising brands.

P.K. Advertising Services Pvt. Ltd. has recently acquired 148 bus queue shelters (BQS) in the city of Kolkata. Kolkata Municipal Corporation had floated this tender few months back to revamp all the bus shelters under their jurisdiction to ensure better public utility service to the citizens.


KMC had shared a broader outline of the new designs and adhering to that P.K. Advertising Services’ proposed plan was approved by the authorities. The firm has won sole rights for 10 years on the BQS and they will be liable to execute the entire operational activity for the same including proper maintenance of the bus shelters. Even the firm is starting two mobile vans for the cleanliness drive for the same; to be conducted every alternate day.  


The firm informed media4growth that the bus shelters are all located on major roads, at key intersections, covering most parts of the city. The BQS media would be of stainless steel structure having both backlit and frontlit, ensuring high visibility for advertising brands. 180 sq.ft. of space has been allotted for ad display and another about 40 sq.ft. will be used for giving out government messages.


Deepak Vasudeva, Director, P.K. Advertising Services Pvt. Ltd., commented: “With this acquisition our media bank as well as our media range have increased quite substantially and this would enable us to offer a wide choice of excellent locations to our existing and new clients.”
