Laqshya Media to drive YOC - a new contest at OAC for young creative pros

By VJ Media Bureau - June 23, 2015

YOC is open to creative professionals below the age of 30 working with creative agencies. The Contest will be held at the OAC 2015 Venue.

The upcoming Outdoor Advertising Convention (OAC) 2015 - which will be held at Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel, Mumbai during July 24-25 -- will feature a brand new contest for Young Outdoor Creative Professionals called YOC. The contest is designed to engage young creative professionals who can craft winning OOH creative plans. Leading OOH group Laqshya Media has taken up the sponsorship of YOC.

The objective of the contest is to reaffirm the importance attached to creativity in OOH advertising. The contest will also underline the need for closer association between creative agencies and the OOH industry, such that good creative talent is mentored for excellence in the OOH space.

YOC is open to creative professionals below the age of 30 working with creative agencies. The contestants who have registered for the contest will be divided into 2-member teams, with each team having one copy writer and one artist. The teams will be briefed by a client on a campaign project. The briefing will cover the objective of the campaign including the target group, markets to be covered, etc.

Thereafter, the teams will work on their creative plans individually. The contestants will make individual presentations to a July comprising 3 brand marketers in the morning of Day 2 of OAC 2015.

The Jury will pick 3 best creative plans. The 3 shortlisted contestants will subsequently present their ideas to the OAC audience at a session dedicated to YOC on Day 2 of OAC. The audience will decide the 3 winners through secret ballot - by ranking the 3 presentations (1 to 3).

The YOC Awards winners will be announced at the Outdoor Advertising Awards (2015) event that will take place in the evening of July 25. The winners will receive their awards at the function.
