Vijaya OOH Media has won the rights for in-train branding and train wrap branding on the Kochi Metro Rail network for a period of 7 years. The contract provides for branding rights on 25 trains that will be running in the 1st phase of Kochi Metro network development, of which 13 trains are currently running.

The line spans 18km, covering 16 stations from Aluva to Maharaja Station and will be extended to Petta by end-2018, connecting the northern end of the city to the southern end.

Vijaya OOH Media will be offering train wrap branding, in-train branding, such as, with posters and stickers, as well as on LED screens inside trains. There are 18 digital screens inside each train on which the advertisements can be displayed.

“This is an elevated Metro line that is visible from the roads as well, so we are expecting good response from the advertisers,” said Pradeep Kumar Kokkanti R, head of Vijaya OOH Media.

The company is already handling media rights on Bengaluru’s Namma Metro network. “Since we have been handling this kind of media, we are aware of the different categories and brands that will be advertising on this media and the kind of ROI they expect from it,” said Pradeep.

This is Vijaya OOH Media’s first foray into a market outside Bengaluru.
