TIMDAA to start OOH network at Delhi airport's T2

By Satarupa Chakraborty - January 19, 2017

TIMDAA is launching its own network of static and digital OOH media at T2 of Delhi airport while upgrading the existing media network at T3.

After achieving stupendous success with digital as well as static media sites at the Indira Gandhi International Airport’s Terminal-3 (T3), Times Innovative Media Delhi Airport Advertising (TIMDAA) will soon launch its own similar inventory at IGIA’s Terminal-2 (T2). TIMDAA is planning to put together its static inventory initially which will be operational by end of this month and then will launch a digital screen network in a few months.

T2 is going through an expansion and facelift and will be re-launched in February. Some airlines will move from T1 and start operating from T2 adding premium factor to the terminal, like T3. Rohit Chopra, CEO, TIMDAA, told Media4Growth, “Airports are offering the most uncluttered media inventory in OOH today. Interestingly, while rest of the places in India are yet to witness the digital OOH boom, airports have already started showing result. In this journey, Delhi airport deserves a special mention in terms of how innovations are taking place in the OOH arena today in India. T3’s static and digital networks are the most sought-after premium places where almost all categories of brands are delighted to have their presence. With a similar network in T2, we hope to achieve similar responses from brands and passengers.”

T3’s existing network owned by TIMDAA is also improving as more digital screens are added and static media are also getting updated. “At T3, we are not adding too many static media any longer. However, they are getting updated regularly as we are converting non-lit ones to backlit ones and backlit ones to video walls,” Chopra added.
