The Muthoot Group leads the way with its plethora of COVID19 relief efforts across India

The Company has distributed over 40,000 ration kits, over 50,000 face masks, 10,000 pairs of hand gloves, 10,000 bottles of hand sanitizers and fed over 46,000 people with ready to eat cooked food

To defeat the COVID19 impact from the country, strict lockdown is an important component of the multi-pronged solution adopted by the Indian Government. However, the lockdown situation may have led various communities in the society stranded with concerns related to absence of enough food and other necessities.

Muthoot Finance, a well-known and reputed company in the Indian Financial Sector with a distinguished family business legacy has its footprints across the nation. The Company has been involved in doing some exemplary CSR work reaching out to the poorest and most-needy sections of the society such as migrant workers, daily-wage earners and many others and distributing a mix of ration kits that could help such families survive for weeks.

The Company has so far distributed over 40,000 ration kits comprising of 5-7 Kgs. of rice, wheat flour, pulses, cooking oil, salt, sugar & spices and some hygiene items like soaps and detergents. Besides the Group has also fed over 46,000 people with ready to eat cooked food, distributed over 50,000 face masks, 10,000 pairs of hand gloves, 10,000 bottles of hand sanitizers besides other relief work. The Group has partners with more than 2 dozen reputed NGOs and Charity organizations, local state police such as Mumbai Police, Delhi Police, Assam Police, Jharkhand Police, West Bengal Police to name a few. The Group has also joined hands with BMC in Mumbai, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji’s organization, India Food Banking Network, Help Age India and Rasoi on Wheels to name a few. The Group’s over 70 Regional Offices & 5000+ branches across India have been leading ground level humanitarian work to do their best so that relief reaches to the most remote parts of the country. Recently the Group also partnered with ASSOCHAM to feed over 1000 healthcare professionals and corona warriors every day at Safdarjung Hospital over a 5-day period. The Group has also supplied over 1000 face shields to police officials across a few other states.

Most interestingly, motivated by the Group’s Management, larger number of people from the 40,000+ Muthoot Group family are working tirelessly to reach out to the needy and executing this relief work dedicatedly.

Even in his recent address to the nation, Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji urged all Indians to help as many poor people as possible. And most importantly, they are doing all this relief work while taking all necessary precautions like maintaining safe distance, being well-protected by wearing face masks, hand gloves and sanitizing themselves repeatedly. This has truly been a very humbling experience”
