The OOH firm recently bagged the ad rights on the Paharganj side of New Delhi Railway Station in an open tender for a period of three years. S Kumar, Founder Director of Srishti Communications reckons this bid win is a springboard for the firm to make a bigger presence in the promising northern markets.

Kumar informs that Srishti Communications has drawn up plans for sizeable investments for developing infrastructure on the on the Paharganj side of New Delhi Railway Station that will in turn create top-end media serving as compelling options for brand advertisers.

In his words, "The outdoor advertising industry is growing. It works because it is seen by everyone who is out of home. It is highly prominent and does not require the consumer to do anything to access it, like tuning the radio or TV, clicking the web page or turning the pages of a newspapers.  At the same time, most people regard it as less intrusive than other medias of advertising. Indeed, a lot of outdoor advertising engages the consumer, providing colour, humour and insight. In locations where it is displayed in front of captive audiences like at the New Delhi Railway Station, it can even be seen as a welcome attraction.”

As such, New Delhi Railway Station sees huge movement of travelers and visitors - a staggering average 5 lakh footfalls are recorded at the station every day. This is a big factor that induces brand advertisers to build their presence at this transit point.

After putting up state-of-the-art display media at the station, Srishti Communications has displayed social messages that are aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's high decibel'Swachh Bharat' campaign. The messages exhort the travelers and visitors to keep the premises clean and free of litter.

Kumar adds that this exercise was undertaken in conjunction with the Railways. The messages were well received by the users. A stroll down the entrance, concourse and platform will underscore the need for cleanliness in the station premises. Further, the ad display locations are such that one will not miss the messages. Locations chosen are at the entrance of the concourse and also near the escalators that are used by a large number of people. Similarly, on the platform the boards are at eye level for maximising viewership.
