Rapport Outdoor Advertising wins ‘Campaign of the Year’ award in OAA 2019 Contest

Awards 2019The Outdoor Advertising Awards Contest (OAA) 2019 saw Rapport Outdoor Advertising emerging with the maximum wins (10 metals), followed by Street Talk – A Signpost India company – winning 9 and Madison OOH with 8.

Street Talk topped the Gold wins (with 4 Gold metals).

The awards were given away at the OAA 2019 awards function held at the Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel, Powai, Mumbai on July 27 in the presence of global OOH CEOs and senior professionals, brand marketers, heads of Indian OOH media owning firms and specialist agencies, government officials, and a large number of young OOH professionals.

In all, the OAA Contest 2019 had 257 entries in 23 different awards categories, of which 120 were shortlisted by the Jury, which subsequently met in Delhi NCR and Mumbai to pick the winners. Overall, 49 awards were given away including that for the ‘Campaign of the Year’.

In the ‘Brand Categories’, Madison OOH won the Gold in the ‘Telecom’ category for the ‘Idea 4G - India ka Live Network’ entry. There was no Silver or Bronze metal awarded in this category.

In the ‘Financial Services’ category, Madison OOH won the Bronze metal for the ‘Kotak – Ranveer Singh Debit Card’ entry. There was no Gold or Silver metal awarded in this category. 

Rapport Outdoor Advertising won the Silver in the ‘Media and Entertainment’ category for the ‘Spotify’ entry, and went on to pick 2 Bronzes in this category for ‘Amazon Audible Books’ and ‘Amazon Prime – Mirzapur’ entries. There was no Gold awarded in this category.

Ignite Mudra won the Gold in the ‘Automotive’ category for the ‘Honda Festival Campaign’ entry. There was no Silver or Bronze metal awarded in this category.

In the ‘FMCG’ category, Street Talk – A Signpost India company won the Silver for the ‘Nestle India - Bus Shelters that talk Coffee’ entry, while Rapport Outdoor Advertising won the Bronze for the ‘Too Yumm! - Oil is for lamp and not for snacks’ entry. The Gold metal was not awarded in this category.

Street Talk – A Signpost India company won the Gold for the ‘Havells - Wires that don't catch fire’ entry and the Silver for the ‘Havells - The Fifth Wall’ entry in the ‘Consumer Durables’ category. The Bronze metal was not awarded in this category.

The ‘Retail Brands’ category had 2 Gold winners – Kinetic Advertising India for the ‘IKEA - Hyderabad Launch’ entry and Street Talk – A Signpost India company for the ‘Future Retail - World's First Glam Tram’ entry. There were no Silver and Bronze winners in this category.

The ‘E-Commerce’ category had 2 Bronze winners – Rapport Outdoor Advertising for the ‘Amazon Prime Day’ entry and Laqshya Media for the ‘Foodpanda- the Crave party’ entry. There were no Gold and Silver winners in this category.

In the ‘Real Estate & Construction’ category, Kinetic Advertising India won the Bronze for the ‘Tata Steel - We Also Make Tomorrow’ entry. There were no Gold and Silver winners in this category. 

Ecosys OOH won the Gold in the ‘Travel & Hospitality’ category for the ‘Ola Cabs - Peeke Mat Chala’ entry. There were no Silver and Bronze winners in this category. 

In the ‘Clothing, Footwear & Accessories’ category, Street Talk – A Signpost India company won the Bronze for the ‘Casio G-shock- Stay Cool, Stay Tough, Stay Fit’ entry. There were no Gold and Silver winners in this category.

Signpost India picked the Silver for the ‘Save the tiger’ entry in the ‘Others’ category. There were no Gold and Bronze winners in this category.

Street Talk – A Signpost India company won the Gold in the ‘Outdoor Media Plan of the Year – Local’ for the ‘Nestle India - Bus Shelters That Talk Coffee’ entry, while Kinetic Advertising India won the Silver for the ‘IKEA - Hyderabad Store Launch’ entry and Rapport Outdoor Advertising picked the Bronze for the ‘Knorr Noodles - Chakh Lo Italian Maaza’ entry.

Rapport Outdoor Advertising won the Gold as well as Silver for the ‘Spotify’ and ‘Surf Excel Easy Wash - Winning in Most India’ entries, respectively, in the ‘Outdoor Media Plan of the Year – National’ category, while Ecosys OOH won the Bronze for the ‘NBA Super Sundays’ entry.

In the ‘Special Categories’, Street Talk – A Signpost India company won the Gold and Silver in the ‘Innovation of the Year’ category for the ‘Nestle India - Bus Shelters That Talk Coffee’ and ‘Future Retail - World's First Glam Tram’, respectively. The Bronze went to Madison OOH for the ‘India live Network – Idea 4G Live’ entry.

The Brand Brewery picked the Gold for the ‘Tata Salt-Kumbh Kay Shravan’ entry in the ‘Best Use of Ambient Media’ category, while Madison OOH won the Silver for the ‘Asian Paints Cinema Express’ entry, and Kinetic Advertising India picked the Bronze for the ‘Ikea Anglatarar Curtains’ entry.

The ‘Green Initiative’ category had 3 Bronze winners – Ignite Mudra won 2 of them, for the ‘Parryware - Shudh Shuruwat’ and ‘Osram - Save the Ocean’ entries, and Signpost India for the ‘COO Rides’. There were no Gold and Silver winners in this category.

Madison OOH won the ‘Silver’ for the ‘Tata Salt Warm Salt Water Soaks’ entry in the ‘Activation’ category, while Times Interactive Media won the Bronze for the ‘Tanishq - Innovative Display at Delhi Airport’ entry. Madison OOH too won the Bronze for the ‘CEAT Travel Safe’ entry. There was no Gold winner in this category.

The ‘Digital OOH’ had 2 Silver winners – Rapport Outdoor Advertising for the ‘Amazon Prime Day VR Activity’ entry and Ecosys OOH for the ‘Ola Cabs - Peeke Mat Chala’ entry. There were no Gold and Bronze winners in this category.

Moving Walls won the sole award in the ‘International’ category – the Bronze for the ‘Shell V Power-Dynamic OOH’ entry. There were no Gold and Silver winners in this category.

Laqshya Outdoor won the Silver for the ‘Jeep- Creating Asia's largest Billboard Innovation’ in the ‘Best Format Innovation – Existing’ category. Aspek Media along with Ignite Mudra won the Bronze for the ‘Honda - Light up Dreams’ entry. Prakash Arts along with Madison OOH also won the Bronze for the ‘Idea 4G - India ka Live Network’ entry. There was no Gold winner in this category. As this was cagtegorised as a Media Owner award, in the awards tally, the wins were counted in the name of the respective media owning firms.

Signpost India along with Madison OOH won the Silver in the ‘Best Format Innovation – New’ category for the ‘Bajaj Allianz Caringly Yours’ entry. Likewise, Street Talk – A Signpost India company won the Silver for the ‘Future Retail - World’s First Glam Tram’ entry. And, Laqshya Outdoor along with Red Bird and Ignite Mudra won the Bronze for the ‘Johnny Walker - Mission to Mars’ entry. There was no Gold winner in the category. Here too, as this was categorised as a Media Owner award, in the awards tally, the wins were counted in the name of the respective media owning firms. 

Ignite Mudra won the Gold for the ‘Osram – Save the Ocean’ entry in the ‘Public and Social Service’ category, while Madison OOH won 2 Bronze for the ‘MTV #WorldNoTobaccoDay’ and ‘Tata Salt Warm Salt Water Soaks’ entries, respectively.

The prestigious ‘Campaign of the Year’ award went to Rapport Outdoor Advertising for the ‘Spotify’ entry. This award was decided by the Jury from among the entries shortlisted in the ‘Brand Categories’. That is, there were no separate entries invited in the ‘Campaign of the Year’ category.
