Ramco Cement builds presence in Bhubaneshwar airport

By Nabamita Chatterjee - September 30, 2013

Being a new entrant in the Odisha market, the brand wanted to amplify its presence there and create a strong awareness through OOH

Ramco Cement, a premium brand of this sector has launched an extensive OOH campaign in Biju Patnaik or Bhubaneswar airport terminal 1 recently to signify its presence and create a strong awareness for itself being one of the new entrants in the Odisha market. Executed by Ajanta Advertisers the brand used Pillar Branding and Chair cover branding all over the airport. The campaign will run for a year. "As the airport is visited by all the key decision makers, and Ramco, a new entrant in Odisha, being present in the airport has great benefits because this competitive cement market is largely dominated by regional players," informs
Manish Agarwal, Owner- Ajanta Advertisers.

Bhubaneswar Airport has one complete big hall and the same is divided into Public Concourse Area, Arrival Lounge and Departure Lounge. Ramco Cement wanted to have wholesome visibility at the airport and were also interested in covering the entire movement of people in an innovative manner. Manish further shares in this regard, "There are 11 huge pillars in the hall and we proposed to the client to take all pillars so that they can get full visibility. The unique feature is that anyone standing in any location in the Airport prior to check-in can see all 11 pillars. Also we suggested that the security hall area can be best branded with chair covers having Ramco logos printed on it."

While executing the brand campaign various challenges are met by Ajanta Advertisers. "Selecting the right material to give the correct feel on the pillars was a big challenge within a short time frame. The work could only be done during the night time with full manpower, when all the flights have landed or departed and before morning when people movement is supposed to start. The second major problem was getting the seat covers right and after many experiments we could get the final material and did printing on it," signs off Manish.
