Leading OOH media owning firm Prakash Arts has developed a state-of-the-art foot overbridge (FOB) and an air-conditioned bus queue shelter (bqs) on the Gachibowli road in the Cyberabad area of Hyderabad on build-operate-transfer (BOT) basis. The FOB and bqs, adjacent to Infosys and Indian School of Business (ISB) campuses, was inaugurated on November by K T Rama Rao, Minister of Panchayath Raj and IT, Government of Telangana, who is also son of K Chandra Shekar Rao, Chief Minister of Telangana.

Prakash Arts developed these infrastructure projects after having won 20-year BOT contracts from the Telengana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd. The OOH firm holds the advertising rights on these properties. C D V Subba Rao, CEO & Director, Prakash Arts, told Outdoor Asia that in developing these properties the firm focused particular attention on the design, user convenience and general expectations of the people working in the area, most of whom are top-end IT professionals.

The FOB has been designed in a manner that the advertising panels have been placed atop the bridge to give people using the bridge unobstructed view of the surroundings. It is also provided with CCTV cameras and 24x7 guarding. The air-conditioned bqs has an attached ATM -- developed in partnership with Andhra Bank - and a water cooler. Subba Rao said the rental income from the ATM will go to the industrial infrastructure corporation.

Subba Rao also mentioned that Prakash Arts holds BOT contracts for developing four more such high-end bqs. The second such bqs will be completed near In-Orbit in a month's time. A third bqs will come up at ICICI junction in the city, and two more in certain other select locations. He added that Prakash Arts will stay focused on developing long-term projects like this.
