By Bhawana Anand - August 02, 2017

The contracts have been acquired for a period of 10 years each.

Amritsar-based Orango Solutions has expanded its business horizons further by venturing into two different cities – Varanasi and Srinagar. The OOH firm has won the media rights at two Tier II airports – at Varanasi & Srinagar. The rights include inside and outside area branding. Both airport mandates have been awarded by the Airport Authority of India (AAI) for the duration of 10 years each. Orango Solutions has started the operations with the existing media and plans to install digital media as well as innovative media.

While the static media are going to be high in proportion; digital media will also be deployed, such as 12 feet screens have been planned by the firm. Also the company has added some innovative media options in the portfolio such as conveyer belt strips, balloon branding, flanges and etc.

Commenting on both these acquisitions, Navneet Singh, Director, Orango Solutions said, “We are handling airport media for a decade and have the expertise in handling Tier II airport business. This acquisition has provided us a consolidation in airport media business which is beneficial for clients as well as we can provide them a plan for five different airports in one go and that definitely will save execution time of campaigns. Moreover, with the national Udaan initiative, flying has become economical for everyone.”

Varanasi airport officially named as Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport has got two operational terminals- Domestic & International. Nationally, the airport connects this holy city to various metro cities. Also, the CM of UP has instructed the airport officials to submit a proposal for acquisition of 350 acres of land for the extension of the airport at Varanasi. The city has been a big attraction for international visitors.

“This airport belongs to the PM’s constituency which brings huge opportunities of development & expansions wherein the city based government is pretty dedicated to the city’s development. Therefore, this will attract huge numbers of footfall”, shares Navneet.

Wherein, Srinagar International Airport or Sheikh-ul-Alam Airport is an international airport that serves Srinagar, the summer capital of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. “This also stands quite a crucial acquisition as this is the only organised and safest place to advertise in the city considering the sensitive issues of the main city. Additionally, there is no rail connect and roads are jammed so the airport is the only left option for masses to travel back and forth”, says Navneet.

Orango Solutions handles Chandigarh, Amritsar and Jammu airport advertising media rights.
