No development even after State Rules 2019 are ready

Even after the Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike Advertisement Rules 2019 are prepared; there is no hope for the implementation of the rules anytime soon in the Bangalore OOH market. Yesterday, during the High Court of Karnataka hearing, the apex body has postponed the hearing to the 1st week of November without showing signs for the promising outcome. Moreover, the industry is distressed due to the repeatedly issued statement that the new state rules are under-consideration wherein no development or concerns are being presented to the industry which submitted their feedbacks and suggestions on the state rules 2019.

In fact, the industry was keeping their hopes high till some time back but now has lost all motivation to revive their business in the city. Moreover, the postpone of the hearing after the festive season ends has further demotivated the industry as they have lost major festival spends of this year as well.

Drafted in the month of August this year, the state rules are pending for more than 3 months now.
