Nagpur metro opens option for semi-naming rights

The MAHA Metro, looking to earn 50% of revenue from non-fare revenue, rolls out tender a big ticket tender

Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Ltd operating the Nagpur Metro Rail Project is eager to maximise its revenue through various means including advertising. The Maha Metro plans to earn as much as 50% of revenue from the entire non-fare department hence the authority has invited the tender to allot Licensing of Co-Branding Rights of Selected Metro Stations of Nagpur Metro Rail.

There are close to 11 stations currently which got operational last year.  The current ridership of the network is over 3,500 on a daily basis from Sitabuldi to Khapri stretch.

The tender will be allotted for 5 years from the date of signing of License agreement. The tender, already out for the bidding will close on 11 February, 2020.
