Kolkata Metro floats tender for OOH media

The contract has been awarded for 10 years

Kolkata metro railway announces tender rights for commercial advertising to various outdoor advertising agencies at metro railway premises within metropolitan limits in Kolkata for the period of 10 years. The authority has mandated the tenderers to furnish notarised certificate of the tenders in a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs 100 stating that they have not been blacklisted for unsatisfactory performance by any Central Government, State Government or Civic bodies or Semi-Government Agency for participating in the tender.

The tender should be accompanied by the earnest money on the basis of the site or location. Valid for 90 days from the date of the opening of the tender, if the application for the same is received less than 90 days, it shall be rejected by the Metro authority. The cost of the tender document is Rs 11,800.

The Metro authority has stated few clauses for the advertising agency to have a minimum experience of two years in the field of commercial advertising which may even be outside the railways but has to be supported by the relevant documents. Secondly, the annual turnover of the advertising agency should be 50% of the first year’s estimated value where the company must serve the self-attested relevant papers of audited balance sheet, profit and loss account for the last three years.

Thirdly, the financial evaluation for such tender has to be estimated on the basis of the rate per sq. ft. per annum for particular site of individual station. The bidder should satisfy all these clauses as stated by the authority before entering the tender which also includes the GST charges at applicable rates to be furnished along with the registered GSTIN to the metro authority.

The tender document may be submitted in person or through registered post by 1:30PM, October 12 at their registered Kolkata office.
