Kerala Govt moves court against award of Trivandrum airport contract to Adani Enterprises

The High Court of Kerala has issued an interim order and observed that the award of contract of Trivandrum International Airport will be done only after getting prior permission from the court and subject to the writ petition of filed by KSIDC at the behest of Kerala state government

Close on the heels of the Adani Group emerging as the highest bidder for the operation, management and development of 6 airports – at Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati and Mangaluru – as per the tenders floated by the Airport Authority of India, it is learnt that the High Court of Kerala has issued an interim order and observed that the award of contract of Trivandrum International Airport will be done only after getting prior permission from the Court and subject to the writ petition filed by KSIDC at the behest of Kerala State Government.

KSIDC was also a bidder for airport rights, with a bid of Rs 135 passenger fee as against Adani Enterprises’ bid of Rs 168 as passenger fee.
