HP’s Vitesh Sharma to speak on green solutions for transit media

Vitesh SharmaToday, as the Indian OOH industry is called upon to embrace green solutions, green printing solutions have become increasingly important to this industry. The transit media industry, doing business at airports, railway and Metro networks, bus transport infrastructure, etc., could demonstrate its leadership in the adoption of green solutions by embracing green material and printing solutions.

The moot question is, what will trigger this big demand shift to green solutions. Against this backdrop, Vitesh Sharma, Country Head for HP Sign & Display business, HP will be addressing the upcoming 1st Transit Media Talks Conference in Mumbai on the theme of ‘Why transit media business must embrace green printing solutions’.

Vitesh has been with HP for the last 18 years managing various businesses in the printing & computing verticals of HP. In his current role as the Country Head for HP Sign & Display business he is responsible for driving the growth of the HP business for signages as well as developing new applications for digital printing.

The conference, to be held at Courtyard by Marriot, will kick off with a detailed Media4Growth presentation on the size and scale of Indian transit media industry, covering the emerging media consumption patterns, transit formats that are in business and their ownership, and pointers to the business segment’s way forward.

The deliberations will be reinforced with presentations by well know brand marketers who will share their perspectives on how advertising on different transit media formats have delivered the goods for their respective brands.
Also, heads of India’s leading media owning firms in the transit media space will make individual presentations on the key takeaways from their experience of investing in and managing large transit media assets.

The deliberations in some of the other sessions at the conference will touch upon:

• The big media investment opportunities in transit segments like Tier I & II airports, railways, Metro networks, bus transport networks, cabs, among others
• Viability of transit media investments in the medium- to long-term
