Greater Noida authority plans for rigid OOH process

By M4G Bureau - October 31, 2019

A new template for information display to be issued for outdoor display media to ensure differentiation between legal and illegal media

As per the media reports, after losing 12 crores of revenue from advertising, Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) is working on a stringent plan to keep check on their authorised vendors. According to the authority, these losses have been caused in the last 9 months because there has been no differentiation between the legal and illegal media. However, to ensure a proper identification of the legal media, the local body is planning to have a new template in place which includes location, order number, vendor’s contact information and validity of the ad.

The authority is also expected to bring technology intervention such as installations of chips and geotagging of sites to avoid any sort of confusion with illegal media. According to authority officials, more than 100 unipoles were found illegal in their jurisdiction
