Global OOH leaders to speak on technology & OOH at OAC 2018

Tim Bleakley, CEO, Ocean Outdoor, UK; Brendon Cook, CEO, oOh!media, Australia; Independent Business Leader, Adviser & Entrepreneur Matthew Dearden; and Daniel Cuende, Co-Founder & Innovation Manager, Cuende Informetrics S.A., Spain to address the convention over the two days

Renowned global OOH leaders will be addressing the 14th Outdoor Advertising Convention (OAC) to be held at the Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel, Powai, Mumbai this week – July 27-28.

Tim Bleakley, CEO of Ocean Outdoor, one of UK’s largest OOH firms specialising in large-format, digital, super-premium locations, will speak on ‘How iconic digital OOH sites change the rules of the game’. Tim specialises in media brand building and turnarounds, with experience of leading businesses through private equity consolidation and exit. He led the Ocean Group through an MBO backed by LDC and LDC’s equity sale in 2014 to Searchlight Capital and the subsequent bolt on acquisitions of Signature and MediaCo Outdoor.

Brendon Cook, CEO, oOh!media, Australia, will address the convention on ‘How dynamic media will drive OOH growth in a digital world’. Brendon founded oOh!media in 1989. With over 39 years’ experience in outdoor advertising, Brendon has been at the forefront of the OOH advertising business in Australia and New Zealand, creating a multi-award winning company and being actively involved in pioneering the industry’s move into digital. Under Brendon’s leadership, the business continues to deliver strong growth through organic growth, strategic acquisitions and the development and introduction of several new environments to capitalise on the growth in digital and people’s increasing habits away from home.

Independent Business Leader, Adviser & Entrepreneur Matthew Dearden will speak on the theme of ‘How to leapfrog the leaders: Lessons from around the world’. Matthew works mainly in advertising, leadership and change, especially in out-of-home media. His clients include investors, media owners, clients and vendors. Matthew was previously President of Clear Channel Europe, a leading out-of-home media owner, having joined as CEO Clear Channel UK. He delivered record profitability (including a ten-fold increase in the UK), step-changed digitisation, major contract wins and innovative thinking to make these possible. Matthew has been asked to serve on many industry Boards and is a recent President of FEPE, the global association of out-of-home media owners.

Daniel Cuende, Co-Founder & Innovation Manager, Cuende Informetrics S.A., Spain, will be addressing the convention on the theme of ‘How infometrics can enhance OOH competitive positioning’. Daniel, an industrial engineering graduate from UAX University, co-founded Cuende Infometrics in 1991 with the goal of creating innovative and efficient research methods. He is the technical manager for GEOMEX, the Out of Home Audience Measurement in Spain. Daniel is also involved in OOH research in South Africa, Australia, Pakistan, Lebanon, Mexico, Morocco, Thailand and participates in US MRC (Media Rating Council) Digital OOH Measurement Standards Working Committee.
