Marketing veteran bolsters client roster and excellence in execution

GDX Studios,  a full-service experiential marketing studio, has appointed marketing veteran Cathy Garcia as West Coast Director Business Development. Garcia is tasked with overseeing client partnerships for the new agency.

Last month, GDX Studios debuted as a new experiential marketing studio providing brands with a variety of additional services designed to enhance each experience before, during and after the activation. Offers will include tracking capabilities, content capture, consumer touch points, public relations, social media and more from the company’s carefully curated in-house team. Garcia will bring her ability to deliver flawless event execution and event planning offerings, from set design and installation to event staffing, tour management and more.

“Cathy’s extraordinary breadth of experience in business development and entrepreneurship, ability to execute activations flawlessly and connections with the entertainment industry makes her the perfect fit for our new type of agency,” said Founder of GDX Studios, Aaron Gaeir. “Experiential marketing is an ever dynamic industry and it takes the creative and entrepreneurial intellect to keep up. Cathy fits the bill and we’re lucky to have her and a partner in CG Activation.”

Garcia, a marketing veteran that boasts over 25 years in the industry, founded CG Activation, an event marketing agency that specializes in execution of activations and experiences, in 2011. Notable work includes campaigns with Syfy, USA Network, Warner Media, AMC Networks and major events such as SXSW and San Diego Comic-Con. The new hire will not change affect CG Activation as the company will act as a joint venture partner to GDX Studios.

“I am thrilled to be joining a group of such groundbreaking entrepreneurs that puts equal focus on the culture as they do to the business,” said Cathy Garcia, West Coast Director Business Development for GDX Studios. “Joining forces is a win-win for clients looking to partner with their forever agency to create thought-provoking activations and experiences.”
