Education sector adding business to Nagpur OOH

Targeting the high-income class, this category taps the outdoor medium for long duration campaigns in the city

Education sectorEven as IPL & political outdoor campaigns dominate the OOH space in most markets, there is another category adding moolah to Tier II cities like Nagpur i.e. the education sector. Nagpur, also known as an education hub of Maharashtra, is attracting a huge number of investments from the education sector where schools, colleges and especially coaching centers are using this medium to target students. “Currently, the Nagpur OOH business is quite packed as 80% of the media has been occupied by the education category,” shares Anup Rajendra Gadge, Director, Grace Ad Space, a leading media owner of the city.

Educational category is also adding value through their long-duration campaigns that run through January to June and are Education sectorspread across the city. “These coaching and education centers are deploying their campaigns quite strategically as they capture the entire with city targeting high income groups. They prefer taking sites near malls, markets, residential areas and junctions with high footfall,” says Anup. In fact, Allen, a big coaching center based out of Kota has ventured into Nagpur and is relying on the outdoor medium for promotions, Anup adds.

Currently 80% of the campaigns come to Nagpur directly from brands, while the rest come from outdoor specialist agencies like Kinetic & Posterscope India that have also started spending for their clients like Cadbury, Mazza etc. “Nagpur is one of the fastest growing cities with the metro construction and real estate development also happening, therefore brands are also seeing sales prospects here,” explains Anup.
