DTC Dy. CGM R S Minhas to speak at Delhi NCR Talks OOH Conference

Dr Minhas will make a presentation on the theme of ‘How innovatively can OOH maximise opportunities in urban transit space?’ at the upcoming Delhi NCR Talks OOH Conference that will be held at Le Meridien hotel, Gurugram on November 17, 2017

Urban transit media is among the fastest growing segments of OOH business worldwide. Delhi NCR itself houses some of the most dynamic transit media assets that rival the best in business and serve as compelling advertising platforms for a gamut of brands. Dr Ravinder Singh Minhas, Deputy Chief General Manager (Traffic & Public Relations), Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) will touch upon on this theme in his presentation on ‘How innovatively can OOH maximize opportunities in urban transit space?’ at the upcoming Delhi NCR Talks OOH Conference that will be held at the Le Meridien hotel in Gurugram on November 17, 2017.

Dr Minhas has an experience of about 30 years in Planning, Operation and Management of Urban Transport in Delhi. He joined DTC as Management Trainee on July 1, 1986 and after successful completion of training he was appointed as Manager and since then he worked in various capacities i.e. Depot Manager, Manager (Training), Manager (Regional Operations), Manager (Schedule and Planning) and Regional Manager (East) & (South). He also headed Public Relations Department and acted as Spokesperson of DTC.  He also worked on deputation to DIMTS Ltd., a Joint Venture of Government of NCT of Delhi & IDFC Limited, as Assistant General Manager (BRT/HCBS).

Dr Minhas has done his M.Sc., MBA, PG Diploma in Public Relations & Advertisement, M.Phil in (Management) and PhD in Management. He also successfully completed a one year “Leaders Programme in Transport Planning and Management” organised by MoUD, World Bank and CEPT University, Ahmedabad.  As a part of this programme he also visited Seoul and Singapore to study the best practices adopted in these countries in transport sector. He also visited Montreal and Toronto in Canada to study the best practices adopted in their Transit system.

Dr Minhas has ground level experience in operationalising and monitoring the first BRT corridor in Delhi.
