Bhavana Mittal to anchor session on'Young Outdoorians' at OAC 2014

As the Indian OOH industry undergoes a major makeover to measure up to the new demands of advertising clients, regulatory norms and the consumers as a whole, major OOH firms themselves are adopting best practices and the latest management norms. These developments have paved the way for the OOH firms to attract fresh talent. Today, there is a sizable class of well educated'Young Outdoorians' who are working with different OOH firms, and making the vital difference to their respective organisations. But talent acquisition and retention are still major challenges for these firms.

Bhavana Mittal, Head of Media, Indian Sub-Continent, CBS Global Media, GSK, will touch upon some of the areas while anchoring a session on'Young Outdoorians' at OAC 2014 which will be held in Goa during July 4-5.

At GSK, Mittal is responsible for some critical and strategic areas such as media planning and buying, analytics, digital capability building, performance management of the media agencies, across the region.

Prior to GSK, she was responsible for the Media Audit division of Accenture India, handling both Indian and international clients.

She began her career 16 years ago with Saatchi and Saatchi, launching Hyundai Santro and Accent in India, which went on to win a bronze at the New York Advertising Effectiveness awards that year. Since then she has worked with various reputed organisations like Universal McCann, Group M - Maxus and Cheil Communications.

Mittal is a science graduate from Hansraj College, Delhi, with a major in Physics and has an MBA in Marketing from the IMT, Ghaziabad. She has been honored with the 3rd Aadhi Aabadi Women Achievers Award 2011, a platform that gives recognition and honour to women who have achieved success in their respective fields against all odds and emerged as a role model and inspiration to others.
