Amiya Chandra to share his insights on OOH at OAC 2018

Dr Amiya Chandra, currently the Development Commissioner, Adani Ports & SEZ, Mundra, has authored a landmark book on Indian OOH advertising which will be released soon; as Officer on Special Duty in charge of Outdoor Advertisement, Parking, Sanitation, MCD, Amiya had played an instrumental role in framing the Outdoor Advertisement Policy for Delhi

Dr Amiya Chandra, currently the Development Commissioner, Adani Ports & SEZ, Mundra, has worked on a landmark book on Indian OOH advertising which will be released soon. Amiya will share his deep insights on OOH policies and the business practices in a session at the Outdoor Advertising Convention (OAC) that will be organised at the Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel, Powai, Mumbai, during July 27-28, 2018. The session is titled ‘An OOH Journey – Why the book’.

Amiya is a multi-faceted civil servant with deep knowledge and experience in public affairs, monitoring of mega projects, city management, outdoor advertising & parking policies, sanitation & urban unorganised sectors, legislative & parliamentary affairs, international trade, labour policy & reforms, sports administration & promotion, and arts, aesthetics and culture. During his stint with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) as Officer on Special Duty in charge of Outdoor Advertisement, Parking, Sanitation, he had played an instrumental role in framing the Outdoor Advertisement Policy for Delhi which was approved by the full Bench of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, overruling its own decision and the decision of Hon’ble High Court of Delhi.

Amiya has a PhD in Central Asian Studies from the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and has authored several books.
