1-month fee relief for Mumbai hoarding owners

MCGM has waived off the fee for the month of March 2020 in lieu of the civic message displayed on hoardings from mid-March
The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM has waived off the license fee for the month of March 2020 on some 1,250 hoardings that fall within the urban local body’s jurisdiction. Mumbai Hoarding Owners’ Association (MHOA) had earlier filed a plea to the MCGM requesting for waiver of the license fee for three months in lieu of display of civic messages on commercial hoardings in the Mumbai metropolis toward building public awareness of Covid-19 prevention.
The campaign was executed on 1,034 hoardings of varying sizes from March 16, cites the MCGM communication. The MCGM also agreed to pay the printing charges at Rs 5.50 per sq.ft and 18% GST, adding up to Rs 70 lakh-80 lakh.
