Lakme eyeconic kajal writ large at Chokkhu Daan ceremony in Kolkata

Executed by Karukrit Advertising, Lakme felicitated five eminent persons during the ceremony

Lakme eyeconic Kajal was smeared on the eyes of the goddess Durga on the auspicious occasion of Chokkhu Daan ceremony at Ahiritola Sarbajanin Durgatsab in Kolkata where the chief guest, Prosenjit Chatterjee, leading actor and producer in Tollywood, and the Lakme brand team felicitated five female visionaries for their outstanding work in their respective fields. The word “Chokkhu Daan” means drawing eyes or giving birth to goddess Durga ahead of her worship which can be translated into guiding people towards the right path. Lakme eyeconic kajal integrated the occasion of Chokkhu Daan with five iconic visionaries who through their way of life, beliefs, dedication & perseverance have had an inspiring journey. It is about them who see the world differently through their eyes and hence they are iconic in their respective fields. It was an event where Chokhhu Daan was merged with felicitating the icons -- Urmimala Basu, noted theatre personality, Mamata Shankar, well-known actress and dancer, Bratati Bandyopadhyay, prominent Bengali elocutionist, Jayati Chakraborty, established Kolkata- based singer and Subhasree Ganguly, leading contemporary actress.

Prosenjit Chatterjee, a leading Tollywood Actor and Producer, said: “Each day of Durga Puja has strong significance, and Chokkhu Daan marks the beginning of the ten days of celebration. I am delighted to be a part of this special ceremony which Lakmé has brought alive with Karukrit Advertising and Ahiritola Sarbojanin Durgatsab to celebrate the true essence of this day.”

Karukrit Advertising designed, fabricated and executed the backdrop and the stage which is in the form of eye, the installation of LEDs, the ambient branding of Ahiritola, 15ft x 50ft drop down that has Lakme branding, the VIP pathway has a cut out of their brand ambassador Kareena Kapoor. Karukrit also deployed eye-level outdoor brandings at junctions for better visibility. Karukrit also used Canter branding wherein the vehicles moved in areas close to Lakmé outlet zones and cluster stores.
